Cm Storm Spawn with wrong sensor?

I just received a Cm Storm Spawn but it appears to either have a wrong sensor or at least a wrong sticker as it appears to have the xornets 2000 dpi sensor.

Here's a picture from someone who seems to have the same issue.

What I would like to know is if there is anyway that I can check to see if it really has the wrong sensor and not just a wrong sticker.

So sorry about this,

I just checked this with our HQ. It is was a labeling error. Rest assured it has the Avago- 3090 just with mislabeled sticker. If the mis label does in fact concern you, we would be happy to replace your mis labeled spawn.

Wow thanks for the quick response. Wasn't expecting to hear from CM on here.

A mislabeled sticker doesn't bother me at all, I just wanted to make sure that it's got the right sensor.

Thanks again for clearing that all up.

Try moving mouse by 1 inch (or half an inch) and measuring pointer pixel movement. There is big difference between 2000 and 3600 CPI you'll notice.

You can visually check the lens (transparent thing which passes the light from the LED).

- on the Spawn it's perpendicular to the mouse surface, like this:

- on the Xornet it's slightly angled vs the mouse surface, like this:

Thanks Bkraptor I checked the lens and it is obviously perpendicular confirming what CM said. It also takes Spawn firmware fine which I'm assuming it wouldn't if it had the wrong sensor.
