I'll wait cause Mass effect 2, bc2 all fell down to $5 sales a few months later after release. And I can wait
I know what you mean, I will never pay full price for a game that is digital or requires a 3rd party program to play. I will be renting ME3 on 360 free with gamefly.

And receive it 3 months after it's been out due to the queue? rolleyes.gif

On a more serious note, I kind of wish I didn't have BF3 yet... but then again, it's already given many hours of fun gameplay.

Last game I bought boxed was Crysis 1 and Warhead... To find that it had DRM and 3 installs and after a few restores, it shows the following...

172

Owning the boxed game and not being able to play the game made me feel lower then a human being, and even after attempting to run a tool and contacting EA, I had no luck...
I ended up purchasing it through a Steam sale... and try to buy all my games through steam now...
And unfortunately got forced into Origin with BF3, and since I already got it installed, ME3 will also get put on through Origin...

Edit: now reading that DRM error still occurs through STEAM...

Is it still the case that you can activate these games without Origin? I recently got Crysis 2 (couple weeks ago) for $5 through Amazon (digital download through Amazon), and to my surprise, you could just use the EA online activation page and the code provided at the time of purchase--no need to install Origin.

Guess Origin would be necessary if you want to download the game directly from EA though...

Same exact thing happened to me! I have Warhead on steam and got the same message you did, and called them up. It was like pulling teeth but they gave me ONE more activation after I dug the CD key out of the registry for them. I will never buy a EA game full price again because of that, maybe if they hit below $10 I'll consider them.

Ahh good deal.

My brother had Gamefly and every game he would request took weeks/months to get frown.gif Guess the early bird gets the worm.

Where have some of you been lately. $60 has been the norm for a big budget new release from EA for a while now just like Activision/Blizzard. Not everyone in the world has BF3 either and if they don't, it is a great deal for both games.
