Will this need an exhaust fan on the back? - Page 2

I found a case fan finally haha. I knew I had one somewhere. When I get it up and running I will run prime 95 to stress and test the temps, then I will play with exhaust vs intake to see what yields better temps. Thanks for the help guys!

Hey ratjack I am in spokane too and I may have some extra fans at home Ill check when I get home. My only question is why 12gb of ram? SB processors run on dual channel memory so by having 3 sticks you are running in single channel mode and getting a net loss in performance, if this build is for regular use they will never see 12gb of ram usage anyway.

its 4 sticks of ram. 2x4 and 2x2. I am just giving them all my ram because I am upgrading to 4x4 corsair vengeance ram. I know they will never use it but I have no use for it anyways so they might as well just have it.

Just curious what part of spokane you are from? I am in Medical lake.

Indian trail area, and I see with the ram. I will be home tomorrow and I'll shoot you a pm if I end up having an extra fan or two.

Amazing, they have washer/dryer in each unit, they are like 3 years old with new dishwasher/stove/etc, and they have a pool/hot tub. A bonus is they are like 1 block from the albertsons on the really quiet side. I love it.

haha I think the one we are going to be moving to might be right next to that place. Its right next to albertsons and starbucks. We will have to check that one out as well.

EDIT: hahaha confirmed its directly next to the one we might be moving into! We were thinking that one but we read that they dont accept pets. Is that true do you know?

Run the fan as an intake, it will help keep the dust down. Temps on a stock cooler, stock clocks will be golden. You can leave all the mesh on the fan slots wont really notice a diff. The intake will force the hot air out eventually, positive pressure is the way to go.
