Ummm.... 1280x1024 is a traditional resolution... the next resolution up in WS is 1680x1050.

That would be 600+ if it's 19". Crazy stuff. Nothing impressive about the resolution.

Just the contrast ratio of 1600:1 and 2ms reponse time.

Maybe think it over. If you are a gamer, WS's do help. You can also see more and have more peripheral vision than others [who don't have WS] in a multiplayer game.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you don't utilize your graphics like crazy, such as for gaming. Those specs won't be necessary and you can save some $$ because 8ms or lower would be good. Just my opinion.

Contrast Ratio - The measurement of the difference in light intensity between the brightest white and the darkest black. Contrast ratio is often used in marketing computer monitors, where a high contrast ratio, such as 400:1, represents a better color representation (the better the information will appear against a darker background) on the monitor than a lower contrast ratio, such as 150:1.

Usually 700:1 is good.

Response Time - Response time is basically the amount of time it takes for a liquid crystal cell to go from active (black) to inactive (white) and back to active (black) again. Basically, this one is self-explanatory. How fast it "responds"

Under 8ms is good, preferable 5ms. But of course the lower the better. ms = milliseconds. In this case, the one you want to buy has a reponse time of 2ms, which is the fastest response time on the market right now.

Yes, the higher the better.
2ms is the fastest response time on the market now
1600:1 is also very high and I believe it is the 2nd highest. I've seen 2000:1 before.
