It doesn't look best, but is 100% smoother then lagy 60hz monitor.. Even if you reach fps lower than 120fps, it will still be much smoother..

^THIS.. i 2nd this +1

Well, considering I've known nothing but 60Hz, I went with the U2312HM. I can say for certain, though, if this thing buzzes at lower brightness, it's going back ASAP.

It would actually make a noise?!? Sorry Ive had this monitor for years now and only horror story I have is a dead pixel. Hoping this ultrashrap is incredible.

It was supposedly fixed with the second model revision (AO2) that, according to some people on another forum, began being manufactured in November. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I've always been a bit anal about monitor noises (CRTs and their high pitch tones made my skin crawl), so I'm hoping this has been addressed.

I think he means flickering. Apparently there is buzzing on some; you can just get a replacement it seems, not a lot of them have this problem. All I've heard form owners are good things and 3-year warranty so you don't have to worry until that ends smile.gif. I would call it in tomorrow during US hours( you always call orders in with Dell because their employees get paid like %5 of what they sell and will lower prices) so you get someone who will be lenient on the price. just say "I was looking at an ASUS monitor that is $20 cheaper but the same thing(bluff)" and after a few trys you can get it for about $220 thumb.gif.

I received my monitor today and got it set up and plugged in. A few observations:

-The stand is great!
-Great Viewing angles.
-No buzz.
-The bezel protruding over the screen seems a bit deep.
-AG coating is definitely more aggressive than even my Samsung. Annoying but bearable.
-The unit I have had a bit of a yellowish tint to the white, something that wasn't present on my other monitor, but I haven;t touched the calibration so this may be the culprit.

So far I have mixed feelings, especially with the yellow tint and the over-done AG coating. Will report back when I mess around with the calibration.

EDIT: I ran through the Lagom visual monitor tests and it seems as though out the the box the gamma setting is very good, contrast is decent, black level not the best (can see the squares starting at 5), white saturation is excellent and there is a lot less gray banding than on my last monitor. Again, my biggest problem at the moment is the yellowish tint.

I fiddled around with colors and brightness and more or less got rid of the yellow tint. My only qualm at this point is the so-so black level (I think this is a common problem with IPS screens, though). Otherwise, the monitor is great!

I got mine the other day, and no input lag thank God. I dont have a yellowish tint but I can seem to edit any of the diplay options in the menu choices. So far good purchase its a big step up over my last one
