Sometimes filling all 4 banks does cause strange things and lessens your overclock potential. I have this memory and am likely going to have a Gigabyte Z77 UD5H or Asrock Z77 Extreme6 for my build in a couple weeks but I'll only be running two sticks and won't be trying to lower the timings. From what I've read, timings doesn't affect things as much as the bandwidth. Have you tried 10-10-10-24 just to see? Maybe also try default timings as a test too. Not every stick will clock the same.
I would also recommend trying your test with 8GB installed and see what happens at your selected overclock and timings. Worth a shot.,
