Clarification on BIOS Options: LDT Frequency and SPP<->MCP Ref Clock, Mhz.

Sup ppl?
I have searched all over the net, yet I just cannot find anything with a good clarification as to what the hell SPP<->MCP Ref Clock, Mhz and LDT Frequency: 5x are for.

SPP<->MCP Ref Clock, Mhz ususally has Auto, 100 or 200 but I don't know what it is suppose to affect. I can tell it has to do with the Southbridge from MCP and SPP, well I have no idea what that is; Standard Parallel Port maybe?
And for LDT Frequency, it usually has 5x from what i've seen online from people's BIOS settings. I think I once came across something that said it is related to the FSB speed.

If this is only specific to older MoBo's and Chipsets, like the 680i that i'm using in my Striker Extreme, that hardly anyone uses anymore, then I apologize, but i'd really like to finally clear up my confusion as to what these two options are for.

Thanks
~Des

Here is my old eVGA 680i thread which should help you:
http://www.overclock.net/t/229532/essentials-for-overclocking-the-680i-nvidia-reference-boards

NVIDIA also released an OCing guide for the 680i/780i chipset. You should read it:
http://www.nvidia.com/docs/CP/45121/nforce_680i_sli_overclocking.pdf?ClickID=cnql4xlkflfqeakws7pfsqqax7k4sffzsnsn

Note that the SPP is the NorthBridge and the MCP is the Southbridge. So I asssume the SPP<=>MCP is the link between the NB and SB, and should be left on Auto and 5x. The guide only ever shows it on auto, and does not talk about those settings at all. The guide does cover OCing the CPU, RAM and PCI-E. But I wouldn't recommend OCing the PCI-E though... There was even a bios option with high end NVIDIA cards that OCed the PCI-E early on that was removed in later bios revisions.
