MacBook Pro Help Desk

Thread Starter
Hello everybody!
As you may notice, I am quite new to the forums, but I would like to help wherever I can!
I know most of the OCN users run the Windows OS, but I thought for anybody else running the Mac OS X I could be of help.

I do own a desktop running Windows 7 Professional 64x and a MacBook Pro 15", so please no PC vs Mac discussions haha

So:

  • If you have any questions relating the MacBook Pro 15" and it's software, capabilities and hardware components, feel free to ask!!
  • Any questions about other Apple computer models are most welcome as well, since most products are very similar if not identical in most aspects.
  • If you need to know if it is worth getting a Mac for school, list what you need/want and I can help you figure it out!

Experience wise, I've owned multiple MacBook Pro's 15" (2008, 2009, 2011 models) over the last 5 years. Out of which I attended a High-school with all-laptop classes for 3 years. Also, I've faced many difficulties, be it software related or hardware related, over the years and managed to solve most of them (but only through hours of painful research on the internet, since not that many people seem to fancy messing with their Mac's), thus I would like to create this threat to help anyone with problems if I can!

Anyone with experience or knowledge about the topic is more than welcome to comment them selves and add helpful tips!

Feel free to PM me about any questions!
MrKJ

Just wondering, you make it seem like it's specific to the MBP 15" while it would be pretty much generic for all the Apple laptops unless I misunderstood. Good of you to offer being a new member, good luck hopefully you don't get any flame thumb.gif

Good from you to notice that so fast wink.gif
Of course I am happy to help with any other model as well, the only reason I made it sound so specific is because I've almost exclusively owned a MBP 15", thus I may not be aware of any special circumstances or characteristics of the other models.
You do make a valid point though, since most Apple products are very similar. I guess we will see how this goes and if a lot of people like it then I could extend onto the other models! smile.gif
Thank you!

that's a good idea to create a so specific thread, but as i was mentioned before - you might get some bashing.
Could help you with the thread as well, as I work with Macs and PCs every day and gote some experience in problem solving)
