New build with FX8120, low FPS in 3d mark

Thread Starter
Hello.

I have a new build based off of the 8120 (4.4 overclock) and feeling my scores in mark11 should be higher..

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2763203

Correct me if I'm wrong here?

EDIT:

I know my GPU drivers are outdated, I tried to install the stock drivers from the included CD to see if there were any changes in my results.

Unless the core clock isn't being read right by 3dmark, your video card is running at like 1/3rd the normal speed. Verify your gpu clock with GPU-Z.

250Mhz...

Now why the heck would it be doing that?

I can't seem to raise it using AMD control center with graphics overdrive, either. The slider doesn't go any lower than 775, which it's currently set at. Yet I still get a reading of 250.

Wondering if my PSU is a factor? 500W..

Ah, yes. It does seem to go higher when testing.

It's very weird, it will fluctuate back down to 250, even during testing....

Is it overheating? I've never heard of Pinefield making cards. So yeah. Maybe the cooler on it simply doesn't cut it?

It doesn't appear to be. It seems to run steady at around 55C under load. My CPU maxes out at around 43C under load. I have very good airflow in this case.

Your physics score does look low for the clocks? Have you ran multiple times and had basically the exact same score?

What's your RAM clocks and timings?
