My sapphire 7770 came today ill install it later and hopefully show some fps. (Also in the UK the 7770 cost £115 and a gtx 560 is about £130 - £150). If people are wondering why I went for it over a 6850 its mostly for power consumption.

Temps seem to only be a main concern when OCing. As long as it runs stable and fits in a single slot then it makes for a great mITX card.

Can't really talk about the higher heat card affecting the rest of the case either since single-slot mITX cases have a bunch of different channels for air to travel as compared to a normal case.

The price needs to (and hopefully should) lower quite a bit for these to sell in good quantities, there just isn't that much of a market for a low-power $160 discrete GPU in this day and age

Pricing right now sucks. I think availability is playing its role and also both companies would like to sit for awhile at higher prices and keep their profits up.

Well, i got an HD7750 HIS for my grandma PC (i5 2320,4gb DDR3, Asus PGA550), the older HD4850 just stopped working and the case is a CoolerMaster 360, its so tiny it barely fits the older HD4850 Sapphire, so my only option was the HD7750.

I just won a 7750. Not sure how I feel about since I already have a 6850.

A month later and the 7770 is still priced the same as a 6850. For shame.

And I'm not sure why choose a 7750 over a 5450 for HTPC uses? I suppose if you're gaming on it or something but is the really a high demand (the gaming on HTPC)?

I'm hoping to find a way to put together another rig and make it a small quiet family pc or something. Certainly not replacing my passive HD5450 in my HTPC and "hell no" for replacing my 6850 in gaming rig.

Note: if curious, this is the one I won... XFX DD 7750 Black Edition

Fixed that for you. Nvidia's failure to launch in the low end and mid range markets is what is causing prices to be so high.
