Oh I would never get this keyboard if it is used anywhere around somebody else for any extended period of time. They might try to strangle you with the cord lol.

Get the ExtremeZ board, even though it's about $50 more, you'll have the z68 chipset which works great with Sata III SSD (I have that drive and it's amazing). I like the Razer Lycosa keyboard a lot so it's a matter of personal preference. Overall it's a good build, post some pics when you're done.

I'm out of date and I don't know if the Sandforce SSD's still have that one issue with deleting stuff anymore, but the Crucial M4 and the Samsung 830 SSD's are the best out there right now.
Thermalright Silver Arrow is quieter, but cools the same as an NH-D14.
Unless you're actually going to burn HD movies, you should just get a Blu-Ray drive instead of a burner. Save a few dollars and you can still burn CD's and DVD's.
1080 for anything bigger than 24" and you'll get jaggies even with AA on. You won't notice it as much if it's farther away, but using it as a monitor you'll probably have it closer. I would either get a smaller 1080p/1200p monitor, or go all out with a 1440p/1600p monitor.
I really think you should go for the 7970 unless you're folding. Then if you got a monitor with a higher resolution you'd have the VRAM for it, and the 7970 is the best out right now.
Also, there is very limited extra speed and power on an Intel platform when using RAM with faster than 1600MHz Cas 9. Unless you're going to benchmark heaven, you like big numbers, and you want to stroke your 3-p33n there's no reason to go above 1600MHz Cas 9.

Everyone else did a pretty good job helping out. Follow what they said as well and you should be good.

i would like to say why not 7950 instead of a GTX 580 ?? any particular reason ??
If building new at this point I would just get an i7 3820. 580s are old news, you want to go with 7950s or 7970s (or use something as a stopgap until Kepler?)
