So if your going to grab a SSD 30 gb should be ok for windows, but your'll have to use no virtual memory on the drive , and turn off hibernate mode. You might be better served getting at 64 gb. But if you can get a 30gb for alot cheaper, why not.

Well about that, like I said, since I ONLY have 25gb for windows 7 right now and feel comfortable, I feel that anything above 30gb won't be good unless there is performance improvement in games as well, so is there? In the remaining 30gb partion I get out of 60/64gb I might put one or two games I play frequently if there is, and hence taking 60/64gb is justified.

I found some C8 models in the memory QVL for 2133mhz, might go with 4gb now, and take a 30gb ssd with cm h212 evo, then take another 4gb later.
I found some C6 models AS well, and I think 8gb 1600mhz c6 = 4gb 2133mhz c8 according to price, I wonder whats better. Though I feel 2133mhz is going to be better for future considering the 2nd Gen FX have some punch.

Agreed, for the op i have 2 ssd's and 30 does cut it close. After you install Windows theres not much left. With my OS ssd i also installed my anti vius/ firewall, my benchmark software, and applications which also adds to performance. Like i said if you buy a 30gb for really cheap like under $50 then its worth it. thumb.gif
