Your probably right. I seriously doubt they would give away a decent board free with a 2500K purchase. I'll see If I can find this deal.

I couldn't find the Motherboard/CPU combo deals, but they are selling the 2500K for ~$179.99 in store thumb.gif

Lol yeah I checked too. Saw it for $180, but no deal.

Edit: also as an ammendment to the RAM. if you dont absolutely NEED 8gb. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104221 Would be a cheap alternative with better Cas and nice heatsink (Not that RAM ever gets THAT hot) Just some more food for thought.

Thanks for adding that + rep

The 8gb is more or less a future thing. I'm currently using 4gb, and every now and then I use almost all of it with a x64 OS. I figured since it's only ~$20'ish more for 8gb vs 4gb, its well worth it in the long run.

Thank you. That's what i was looking for. I'm not gonna be pushing to the ragged edge, but I'll definitely be OC'ing it. thumb.gif
it may run good at stock speeds thumb.gif

Oh yeah, stock speed with no OC'ing I would 100% guarantee it would run. Start pushing clock speeds and voltages..... I might see fireworks.

A pair of stock HP's biggrin.gif

The 300watt runs the mobo (24 pin), fans and HDD's. The 250watt is a dedicated CPU (P4 socket) power source.

For the GPU I'm just gonna re-use the 4670 for now. The ASRock 970 EXTREME3 would be my first choice, but I'm not 100% dead set on going with it quite yet.
