I just issued a refund for the Corsair H60 - As far as "Cutting my rear grill" never heard of it. After looking at the post your linked, it doesn't really say much other than the tool and that it's a club :/ no pictures or anything. The only thing I can think of is that you are talking about actually cutting the physical case to optimize airflow. I did a quick, and by quick I mean really quick google search and didn't come up with anything when searching for "Cutting rear grill computer case" haha smile.gif

oh sorry i wanted to post my cutting. several members here did that (thanks to ehume where i got the idea from) and i can tell you that it will improve the airflow.
the air coming out feels much much stronger and gave me another 2-4°C.
i know its hard to cut on a case, especially when it was expensive or new, but you wont regret it.

here is my cut: http://www.overclock.net/t/1213036/nibbler-club-all-nibblers-welcome/10#post_16444265

as for the Silver Arrow, i own his little brother the Archon, its a single tower cooler, not as heavy but it cant handle an overclock that can be done with the SA.
its not a bad heatsink and by previews its kinda hidden champion in case that its not a dual tower cooler but it provides great cooling and is very quiet.

The only thing that really scares me is I don't want to get an H series cooler and it leak and destroy my brand new rig. I am really contemplating getting the H100 and using the huge grill on top to mount the radiator. But like I said it REALLY scares me to think that my whole computer may possibly get destroyed by a mere leak of a malfunctioning device. As far as I know Corsair will only replace the unit, and nothing that is broken as a result of a faulty device.
I agree 110% that the heat sinks look silly, and that is why I initially purchased the H series coolers.

Don't quote me on this but I could have swore I saw something on corsairs website that said if the h series leaked because of PRODUCT QUALITY they would replace your whole system, I'm trying to find it right now, and hopefully I'm not wrong (one of the reasons why I decided to buy it). FYI the h100 is a pain to fit in the 600t with push pull config with the huge heat fins on the memory. Some people decided to mod the top and install the h100 closer to the side panel to overcome this.

You should pm corsair George he is pretty active and is a public relations person that works for corsair, very helpful and could help answer that question if an h series leaks what can corsair do for you.

Here's a link that says something about it. But it's not official yet , still trying to find where I saw that

I see what you did, that makes sense - I will do some reading. I really hate the idea of cutting into my BRAND NEW CASE but if it is truely worth it I might just do it. Only thing is, as I mentioned in the OP - I don't really do any extensive CPU operations. Typically I am just playing games, programming, or school work - A little video editing here and there but not enough to want to OC to like 4.7GHz

If you could find that post I would be extremely grateful. As for the HUGE memory fins, I think I am going to remove them. I don't see it a problem, unless you know there is a big downside to it?

it could be that they cover such failure but dont forget that you are the one who needs to prove that it failed and that it broke your parts.
thats only stress by shipping parts, talking to them, waiting etc...

you are also on the safe side when you remove the heatsinks.

Agreed with that you might have to spend some time talking to them and prove that u didn't mod or kink your lines when you installed it but from what I have seen, corsairs customer service is unparallel to any others that I've seen from a big company.

Another link for you from corsairs own forum with corsair employee on it. Note this is a case by case and you really have to do your due diligence

I would get the H80, Antec Kuhler 920 or H100. I picked the Antec because I got it on sale for 60 bucks. It's basically the same unit as the H80 with the 100 slightly better.

Personally I think huge Air Heatsinks look awful that's why I went with an all in one water cooler.

This is true, however, I have been a die hard corsair user for years and from what I can tell, their customer service skills are exemplary.

I will take a look at the Antec AIO kits, but I might just nip it in the bud and buy the Rasa kit. http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsra750rxwak.html

What's louder than air cooler? The Antec? The Rasa? The Corsair H series?
