Depends on what kind of fan and if u have it a fan controller running full blast. Ever since I switched over to ap-15's the only thing I hear is my video card fan spooling up under load. Everything else is quite quiet.

I don't use the Corsair fan dialer on the front, I just let my MOBO do the fan controlling. I don't know, is it good to just use the dial? I was wondering if there was some kind of way to rig it so that you could use both and that the fan dial on the front would over-ride the mobo "suggestion"

haha

you can, i have all of my fans besides the memory fan and exhaust fan on the controller. there are some cases where the dial malfunctions and break down. corsair will replace that part for you. also the dial from what i have seen isn't really that great of a controller, some people say there are 3 stages, low, medium, and full, no in between like you would think a circular dial would have. of the four fans i have i connected on my controller i have that at medium and full most of the time and it doesn't bother me with the noise, and i have that sitting next to me.

Love the box rig in the corner thumb.gif

So, it's safe to assume that running the fans on medium all the time is efficient and works well. That's odd that there really isn't any in between for the fan speeds, like you said you would think a circular dial would give a range of speeds based off of the voltage going to the fan :\

Should I replace any of the fans that came with the case like the LED chassis fans? Also, I notice that I can mount the hard drive next to the power supply and completely remove the bottom rack. Is this worth the hassle? Does it truly improve air flow?

Also, were you saying "you can" to the rig I was talking about - or simply to the fact that I can use the dialer instead hehe

just the fact that you can. removing the platform that the hdd stands on is i guess just for ascetic purposes, moving the hdd tray next to the psu, does improve air flow. however those lovely stock 200mm fans are...junk...i want to replace them but not sure if i want another 200mm fan or replace it with 2 120mm fans. only time will tell i suppose.

lol, yeah the boxes...such an eyesore i need to find some way of hiding the hideous pole i have support that corner. (it's suppose to be a L shape desk. just missing the _ piece since that part is at my mom's house.

Yeah those stock case fans are junk, and they are loud at full RPM - I am eventually going to get 2 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Case Fan- 1,850rpm, 28dba, 58.3cfm for the front and top of the case. I just can't believe how I started with $850 in this case and now i'm already over $1,000 in just a few days ordering different stuff (SSD ETC) haha

The H60 is definitely going back though.

Oh, and should I be using the stock thermal paste that comes on the H series?

The Antec Kuhler is most definitely WAY quieter then my old 212+ air cooler for better results. Like not even close better.

So Antec Kuhler > Corsair H80? Also, does Antec offer the same customer service/ warranty as Corsair?

Cooling wise they are within a degree of each other. I don't know how loud the corsair si but I'm pretty sure they are just rebrands of the same part. Not sure on corsairs warranty versus Antec. I went with the Antec purely on price. I would have been fine with either.
