New 4th build ( Already have: Asus P8Z68-V/Gen3 ~ i5 2500 Non-K ~ Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9B )

Here is my current beta build list for the rest:
(Will be used for gaming. I know 8GB is overkill but it was on sale. devil-smiley-019.gif )

1. Case - CM Storm Trooper. I like good case cooling and design.

2: Heat sink - Something high quality but for a reasonable price $30-$40
Thought about going to water cooling but seemed like overkill. gunner2.gifeek.gif

3. Need a modular PSU. I went overkill on the 750w. Corsair/Thermaltake/Antec 600w or 650w?

Just need to get some great suggestions before I start buying soon, let it roll around in the ole noggin. thumb.gif

A very good CPU Cooler is the Hyper 212 EVO. Quiet, has good airflow, and is $35. The Corsair Modular units are very good.

what is the total budget you want to spend
i would say go with
Case :
Corsair Graphite Series 600T 170$ and 150$ after rebate
HSF :
you wanted Watercooling then go with
Coolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling System 40$biggrin.gif
PSU :
Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W 90$and after rebate 70$

Total 300$ before rebate and 260$ after Rebate

Rosewill HIVE could also work.

The build is done. I went with the Cooler Master EVO. The EVO seems to be keeping temps at around 35 degrees C at idle. The board seems to have auto O/C'd the CPU to 3.9 GHz at load. I guess that's good if I wanted to overclock. The memory is being read at 1648 MHz. At idle the CPU is down around 1.6 GHz.

I have read a lot of bad thngs about Rosewill and the quality. I didn't want to try them. I really liked that Three Hundred case, but I went with the CM Storm Trooper. The Thermaltake PSU's look good. I will have to try them next time. I would recommend Corsair\Seasonic PSU's just for the 5-7 year warranty. If you can I would go with Seasonic or Antec over the Corsair rebranding, even if it's a little bit more money. Thank you ladies and gents for the choice of options.grouphug.gif

Well I was going to turn off overclocking but since the temps are so good I might leave them in place for a while. I did build this rig to save energy though.
