Seasonic X 1250 vs Corsair AX1200

Thread Starter
Seasonic X-1250 (1250w)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151109&Tpk=saesonic

Corsair AX 1200 (1200w)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139014&Tpk=corsair%20AX%201200

I'm trying to get opinions about the mentioned 2 units.
Any comments? Both of them looks good & Corsair used to get the PSU from Seasonic.

The only thing that I like about Corsair is they have better after sales service over Seasonic.
Also the end part of the wires are black, don't need to sleeve.

Above all thing the main thing that concerns are the performance.
I need those powers to power an i7 980x + 3x GTX480. Also lights, fans & pumps.
Min I need is 1000w but 1200w++ would be an added advantage when the PSU aged.

The thing that concern me the most is the energy saving part. Just fully load when needed.
Auto cut off blah blah blah... stuffs like that. Advice main on these pls

Neither. I'd never get a single-rail unit with that kind of output. Look at any of the following units:
Enermax MaxRevo 1350W
Enermax Platimax 1200W
Antec HCP-1200
Sparkle Gold 1250W

seasonic support isn't that bad as well.

I was sleeving my x1250 and broke a fwe pins and stuff, emailed sea sonic support the guy sent out a whole new bag of cables for me free + free shipping it arrived in like a day.

In the end its what brand you like I guess, but the x1250 came out a few months ago and the ax1200 has been around, both are really good psus

The X-1250 is in fact a quad rail unit(as the X-1050 and XP 860/1000 are) wink.gif

@OP, of the two I'd pick the Seasonic, but the HCP suggested above is superior(is in fact the best PSU on the market).

With AX1200 for $100 extra you could buy single sleeved cables.

I'd go with Seasonic as my first choice. Corsair has had mixed results with their PSUs.
I'd go with Seasonic.

Consistently they've put out the highest quality PSU's of any manufacturer imo. However technically I do think the HCP 1200 is a better rated unit.

It is? If so that is good, but the sticker doesn't suggest that. I didn't double check using a review.

SeaSonic x1250 is a single rail psu, single @ 104a in the +12v rail.
