I was telling you what settings I played FEAR at .

As for vsync, it eliminates the vertical tearing effect when your FPS is higher than your monitor's refresh rate (dunno about lower). But I've never had problems with tearing, nor do I find it unplayable like some of my friend.

yeah i know - i think its time for a new monitor - my max refresh rate is around 75 Hz which sucks

Why do you need a greater refresh rate? they're not important for LCDs, and if you have vsync enabled, your max FPS will be 75, at which most people find the game 100% smooth.

Try underclocking your RAM to 667 and see what happens. If your board doesn't fully support 800 the system may respond to this technique favorably.

I already set everything to stock, and it didnt make much difference.

BIOSpeed is saying that if your mobo fully supports 667 and not 800, you should try setting the memory at 667, and maybe it'll work better.
