Which air cooler Thermaltake Frio or Phanteks PH-TC14PE? i7 2700k

Thread Starter
Hi,

I'm planning my upgrades for alter this year when I can get my hand on some money to spare. AT the moment I've decided on a i7 2600k but I don't know what cooler to use. I'm planning on using corsair xms3 4gbx1 ram and a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3. What do you think is better a Thermaltake Frio or a Phanteks PH-TC14PE? Could you also give me reasons and sources please.

Thanks and regards, thumb.gif

The Phanteks would be the best one to get since it beats Noctua NH-D14 and TR Silver Arrow in the Vortez review. Plus it looks neat. wink.gif

Thermaltake doesnt make good heatsinks imo. At least the ones i had were meh. Mediocre Heatsinks with very noisy fans.

The Phanteks comes with the best heatsink but with mediocre fans. If money is not an issue you could get the Phanteks and buy different fans. But I'd recomend the Silver Arrow or to try the new Silver Arrow SBE. If you can find it the Deep Cool Assassin would be a good option too,
