Wow, calm down guys. Sounds like someone's getting defensive about not doing this procedure. Hahah. Despite this bias I guess I got my answer, it shouldn't really impact temps or longevity of my system. Yeah, mosfets are designed to take intense heat. and the heatsink is just used to displace the heat away from the mobo, so as to not impact other devices on it.

And you guys make valid points that I could end up seating it worse than how it is stock, which seems pretty snug.
