Any of they Asus boards here would be good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...SubCategory=22
a friend has the A8N-E (top one on page) and is very stable, easy to use and has gd oc ability. I would recommend it. And its only $85

yeah that was the Asus board. I had thought of Dfi. I have the ultra-d myself and its very nice. bit of a more complex bios. lots and lots of options. I was going to leave dfi out as u are new 2 here. but then why should that stop anything? the dfi is very sweet. so either the Asus A8N-E or the Dfi ultra-d would be gd. i've experience with both and they both perfom very well. If you did go for the dfi i have a dfi oc guide that helps rather nicely.

Well, yes I am new here and to the world of o/c, but I built all my computers except my first few, like my kaypro i had in college, commodore 64, and my p1 i got in my first apartment.
