Having some problems with my new 448core 560ti

Hey guys long time lurker here, just wanted to see if anyone here knew what is causing my problem. I just upgraded to a Galaxy 448 560ti that was on sale on newegg last week. I installed it and then downloaded the latest nvidia beta drivers and installed them. Now my computer completely freezes up whenever my account screen comes up on windows. Sometimes I can log in before it freezes but then it would just freeze whenever I so much as open firefox. In these cases a taskbar popup would say the display driver encountered a problem just before the computer would lock up.

Here is my system:

win7 64
asus p5q pro
intel e8400
asus xonar dg
two 1TB hdd
64GB ssd
4GB ddr2
630W Rosewill green psu (50A on the 12V rail)

Would it maybe be the power supply? I thought the rosewill would be enough since the card only needs 37A supposedly. I had a 4870 before this card (plugged it back in so I can post here) so maybe the ati drivers are interfering?I guess it could also be a bum card as well. I was just hoping someone here had experienced something similar and knew what was causing this type of problem. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

im not sure the problem but you can rule out the power supply. its not that.

630W is more than enough for your setup. I'm guessing you should uninstall the beta drivers and try the WQHL driver first and see if it works better.

Actually I tried installing the whql driver first but it did not recognize the video card and would not let me intall. I guess its because the 448 core version is still new (wasnt listed in the supported cards for that driver version). Is there a way to force it to install?

Try the driver on the cd that came with your card.

Uninstall both ATI and Nvidia driver then use driver sweeper to remove any reminents of the ATI/Nvidia display drivers. Then try running the driver off the disk or the latest BETA driver from Nvidia's website.

Thanks for the advice. I just installed the 2nd newest beta drivers (190.xx) and now it seems to be working, seems strange that that would fix it though. I will go ahead and run driver sweeper though just to be sure all of them are gone and then reinstall these drivers that are working.
