a new HEADPHONE !!! Want help - Page 3

I've been looking this up a little bit myself, and a sound card + headphones + mic seems to be what everyone recommends. Also, do some of the better sound cards work in a PCI slot? It's the only slot that isn't covered by my 6870 frown.gif

razer megalodon
asus rog vulcan anc
your personel prefence and help will bw highly appreciated..
Please do answer this thread so as to made me decide a good among these....
You may answer in ascending order and.. And.. Don't consider price for a time and tell the best..
Well i'm done for nowww.
Help..

None of them! That entire list is overpriced, over-hyped, over-marketed gimmicky junk. People need to learn to realize that the qualities which make a good gaming mouse, for example, do not translate to making good headphones. Then again people also need to learn the qualities which make a good mouse do not necessarily also make for good marketing for a mouse.. but that's another story.

Exactly. A good stand-alone, music oriented headphone (as in NOT marketed towards gaming, telecommunication, surround sound, or anything else that would raise your does-not-follow-common-sense alarm), a good soundcard, and any half decent mic, will beat any single all-in-one solution for the same price, especially all-in-one solutions made by companies who have absolutely no knowledge or experience in audio (razer, corsair, logitech, any other gaming/pc accessory company).

As for your question, yes, there are good quality PCI soundcards. There are also high quality external USB or Firewire soundcards (these are designed for audio production, not for gaming. They're made by studio audio equipment manufacturers, and large, ugly, and will not be found on most PC part websites - check audio equipment websites). And of course, there are pci-e extension ribbons which could allow you to offset a pci-e card to a new location in your case if the original location of a slot is blocked.

Sorry, I seem to have taken a look at a post written in broken english by a brand new member, presumeably forign, and presumeably uninformed about audio, and assumed that he wanted a informative response in order to make the most of his money. Apparently my mistake.

If I asked someone "does orange or red have the smallest wavelength of all visible light", I'd want someone to tell me "neither, violet is the highest frequency/lowest wavelength, but if you are looking for a light source which can produce a high frequency/low wavelength, it is much easier to obtain UV (blacklight - technically non visible, although consumer grade UV lights are really more purple than anything) bulbs, Blue LEDs, or Green Lasers, all of which are higher in frequency/lower wavelength than red or orange)".

If they simply told me that orange was a shorter wavelength than red, next thing you know I'd be making all kinds of wrong assumptions based on the incorrect face that red is the highest frequency of visible light when it is in fact the lowest, and I was simply ignorant to that fact due to incorrect urban myths.

However, for your sake, I'll answer the question in the form you desire: The best one is the cheapest one you can find. They are all horrible so as long as you're butchering your ears with poorly reproduced sound, do so while saving money.

PS - Why are you complaining about how I answered his question? At least I answered it at all. All you're doing is trolling.

Why not for 100 grab a pair of AD700s and grab a mic? They sound WAY better and extremely comfy. Oh and they don't break as easily.

I did answer his question. Before you even entered the thread and responded to his options for usb headsets. spam1.gif Go be a smart ass somewhere else. Enjoy your non usb headphones. I enjoy my Dt770's thoroughly, but Henry isn't interested. We are here to help him with his decision. Not start flame wars over Usb headsets.
