[PA] Bethesda Knew PS3 Skyrim Had Memory Issues, Shipped Anyway - Page 10

Don't take this retort as some kind of dismissal or approval of either side of the argument.

Anyone that read's skyrim's changelog will notice that the most serious bugs affected all 3 platforms and anyone that actually follows this kind of stuff will know that some unpatched bugs exist on all 3 platforms that can only be solved with access to the developer console on a PC.

You can use any controller on the PC. A wireless mouse and keyboard can be used with a lapboard or table just like an arcade fight stick. Wireless controllers, wheels, joysticks and pretty soon we'll have official support for motion controllers.

A PC can be as light and portable or heavy and featutre packed as you want. Take a light, low end HTPC as an example. If consoles upscale 720p, so can the HTPC. It would still have all the mods in the world for games and an ever growing base of applications and functionality be it offline or on the internet.

So what's left? Three reasons to not go the PC route:
1)Platform bias
2)Lack of basic PC related skills
3)Financial problems (Only if you already have a console and lack a suitable PC)

I'm not getting into this argument again here on OCN. It is a computer enthusiast forum, full of tons of members that either cannot understand the appeal of consoles, or just don't prefer them. There are plenty of reasons why consoles are better, and also why PCs are better, and it comes down to preference. I've owned 13 PCs, and 15 consoles/handhelds, I like all of the above for different reasons. You don't have to like consoles, nobody on OCN has to, but it would be nice if the members here could quit pretending that everyone that likes them do so only because they're ignorant or mentally retarded, and that as PC gamers they are somehow superior just because the hardware is cutting edge, as if better hardware makes games fun.

Let's just agree to disagree.

Wait!!! You mean console gamers aren't just retarded little monkeys flinging their poo at the wall, and that PC gamers aren't the height of human evolution? You have rocked my world perspective sir:)

Or the games you like aren't on the PC. You don't like using a m/kb. I don't play skyrim with a m/kb but I'm forced to use a m/kb in a game like bf3 if I want to even have a chance to at least get a kill even though a controller is so much more comfortable since I don't have to sit my deskt without any other accessories.

Consoles are in fact are better for multi-player in groups. You don't have to have a rig for each person who wants to play unless its a game that specifically only allows one person a console. If you are a sports gamer consoles are the way to go. Especially if you have 3 other friends over to play with.

I've noticed this.... every so often, a friend's PS3 will seize up for around 30-seconds every hour. I assume it's hit a wall it can't topple tongue.gif

I can't believe a PS3 only has 256 MB of RAM... I know it's optimized to use it well but still, that's how much RAM my dad's old laptop had and we couldn't even get it to run Ubuntu + firefox with more than one tab open, makes me wonder how something like Skyrim can even run
