Damn !

Though i got it.... frown.gif

What i did:

1: Everything to stock and only windows hdd in.... everything good.
2: Overclocked both gpu and cpu, everything good .
3: Restarted and put in the hdd i though was bad, 3dmark11 and programs failed and got the driver crash thing again....
4: Removed the bad hdd and everything back to like it was on point 2 here..... problems still where there ! WHAT !!?

While writing this now i suddenly got 2-3 errors with driver fails again.... arg ! Suddenly its fine then problems come, what could it be ?

This really smells of a bad motherboard to me....it may come to replacing/rma. I had a bad board once and when I was doing my initial windows install it was absolute blue screen madness. For some reason it calmed down to about 3 bsods per hour, needless to say I sent that back the next day and the new one worked without a hitch (CH5 formula)

Could be, but it doesn't feel like it if that makes sense, i had another board before this one that had major problems. Its so strange that is good/perfect and suddenly messing with me. And its never anything concrete.

Its so strangly random, like now: I had the computer off while is as traning and came home now and started it. I opened 3dmark11 (just opened the program and didn't start the bench) and i get the same damn "driver stopped and successfully restarted" again frown.gif

An update again, i uninstalled all AMD drivers....don't get the error now. But have no gpu drivers...lol.

I maybe forgot to say/write the hole error message : "Display driver AMD stopped responding and has recovered"

Thinking about re-installing windows now...but a bit boring if that is'nt the case...

Update:

So installed windows again, and haven't had the problems since...*knock on wood* BUT i have only tried 3dmarks tho. But it seems ok now. Also noticed that some minor stuff works now that
didn't last windows, like some info in gpu-z and real temp.

I also had to install the ATIMAN patch\thingy to be able to adjust in trixx. I'll get back to you guys later after testing some games...

Personally, if you got it to work just fine, I wouldnt be installing any of that third-party software for at least a week just so you know that everything will behave like you want it to. That way, when you do add in afterburner, for example, and you get a crash after running fine for a week, then theres your problem. Im convinced after personal experience those little registry gremlins programs like that leave behind have residual effects on hardware even after formally deleting the program from your system.

Ye, i was thinking about doing that. But now i have restarted a bunch off times and no problems, last time there where problems all the time. I just played some games and all seems fine (except for bf3 crashing when i start it,lol... not my computers fault.) So i'm hoping it will be good. I only have some programs installed and don't need more so it will stay like this.

I also get the feeling of registry problems/gremlins/magic. But if thing works like this further on now i'm quite happy, pc is kinda quite, looks good now, easy to remove stuff and open and has decent performance smile.gif

Edit: the ultimate test for me is to change something in the bios...but don't know if i dare. I just left everything overclock when installing the new windows. Well, i'll better test now than later... *scared*

DAMN !!!!

Now i was so happy, everything worked fine. I installed windows while my computer was at 4,7ghz and have been playing multiple games today. So i did a quick test again, went in to bios and sat the voltage and ghz up a bit..... did benchmarks and all is good right. No problems so far. Then i go back in bios and put the voltage and ghz back to what i always have and then 3dmark frezzes, i restart and then SWTOR just gives me a Bsod 116 again.... WOOT, why ? Everything is as it was 1 hour ago when i played for hours and had multiple restarts.... I can't not change stuff in bios for ever either... I don't get it.

Pic from the oc-ing...

Edit: and there i got the error again..... frown.giffrown.giffrown.gif

so do your normal programs consist of those overclocking utilities?
