I never said your issue was VRAM related, just stated a personal experience that I was having, since we have the same card and similar mods installed.

Like I said, Skyrim is heavily CPU dependent. Yes it says it has Multi-Core support, but it's garbage. It will run the majority of it's processes mainly on the first core, overloading it and the best way to help relieve that, is to increase it's clock speed.
