Hey all,

I've been toying with getting Skyrim now since its been released... however I don't want to waste £25 and be disappointed.

Now, I can tell you now that I'm not much of a fan of the whole fantasy, dragon-slaying stuff, but I do like a good melee battle

I mainly play Star Trek Online and TF2. I generally like FPS games the most. I've tried to play Oblivion and Fallout 3, but never warmed to them much and gave up after a few hours.

What are your thoughts?

Yeah I wouldn't bother if that's how you feel about other games

Skyrim is great though, and even 10 hours for £25 is great value for money:rolleyes:

It's VERY similar to Oblivion and Fallout. It plays almost exactly the same, it's just way more polished, looks nicer, better animations...everything you would expect from a sequel. I guess it depends how much you didn't like oblivion

Watch a load of gameplay video's and see what you think. I reckon once you give it some time and get used to it you won't be able to put it down. It can be quite daunting to start off with though if you are new to the series, I know it took me a while to get into oblivion but I ended up playing it for 300+ hours.

I'm the same! Oblivion, I gave up once I left the dungeons

And Fallout 3. I never really left Megatron

But I do like Skyrim

Im not really into games such as fallout or oblivion....I gave skyrim a go and got bored....Picked it back up about 2 weeks ago and gave it a chance now i LOVE IT! The graphics are incredible with the HD textures mod and the game itself once it gets going is awsome!
