Just bought a CMStorm Quickfire in blues

I was going to buy the Reds from the CMStorm USA website..then I was going to buy the Browns from the PCHome website..but decided I didn't want to wait. While at Microcenter last night buying my 3 AOC 23 inchers I strolled past the "Gaming" section. They had 1 CM Storm Quickfire in Blues left and I thought to myself, "what the hell."

I also picked up a CMStorm Xornet that fits ever so perfectly in my hand. I'm pretty impressed with both of them so far, aside from the clicky-ness of the blues.

Before buying I HAD to ask my wife if it annoyed her. Here response went pretty much like this; "I sit in a room filled with computers and people typing ALL day. I can deal with it."

Now to find a set of blank throwback or black keycaps on the cheapsies. I'll post pics this weekend once I visit Ikea to buy the 2 desks I'm putting in the office.

I think you made a good choice. I have reds, they get rather boring after several months.

I find myself wanting to go back to Blues because my first board had them. But then again I actually like the clicky part.

Blues are the best switch IMO. Own a filco with blues and cm storm with blues. Broken in blues are heavenly.

Is there any noticeable quality points Filco vs CM? I ask because I just bought a CM, I couldn't pass up $65 shipped.

I felt a Filco at a friends..seems really lightweight. The CMStorm is relatively heavy for as small looking as it is. I'm pleased I paid half the price of a Filco for practically the same thing.

paid the same, well worth the price.

and the rubber feet are a lot better on the filco. my cm storm slides around too much. with and without the extended feet.

weight is about the same, i'll take my scale out in a sec and weigh them to double check.

Yeah we jumped on the same deal. I was originally set on browns but for almost half the price of my first pick it was hard to not go with my second choice. Excited to join the mechanical club.
