What ssd did you decide on? And why on earth would you want to raid a seagate and a western digital drive in raid 0 for? I mean yes it will work but why would you even try it for? But to each his/her own though.

Just install the ssd and install the os on it. As all you need to do is select the total size when install the os and windows 7 will do the rest for you. Thanks

I've decided on this SSD http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167047 Is this a good SSD?
Also I'm no longer going to put the Segate hard drive in anymore I'm going to use it as a backup hard drive.

When i installed my SSD as my boot drive, i reformatted everything on my HDD and then fresh installed Windows onto my SSD, just make sure your SSD is your boot drive and in AHCI mode in BIOS.
I'm no hard drive expert but shouldn't raid only really be used with 2 identical drives? Like if you had 2 seagate 1tb or 2 WD 1tb you could raid those, but not 1 seagate and 1 WD? I'm not 100% sure, someone will probably correct me.

That's a pretty nice SSD. There are some faster for the price, but that's pretty good.
