Welcome to the club Night. o/

I'm currently on a g9x since you can't find a Copperhead/DB anywhere. The CH was my favorite because of the grippy side rails. The xai was okay, but was better for palming and I'm more of a claw gripper. I consider the g9x + Artisan Shiden a good combo (particularly because the g9x sensor doesn't exhibit the negative accel as it does on cloth and other pads). I could never get comfy with an Abyssus or Spawn either.

Razer is suppose to be building their newest R&D lab right here in my home town. It'd be neat if I could go over there and talk to them about how we need our CH design back in action.

Ordering one of these to test them. Compared to the Copperhead the weight is around the same 120. The max acceleration is 15g as the Copperhead is 20g. The basic shape is there and it may be a few MM smaller than the Copperhead. The only thing majorly different is the sensor up to 4000 FPS compared to the Copperhead's 7080 FPS. When I get it I will be running LOD tests and the jitter tests. DPI steps are 400/800/1600.

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/genuine-razer-usb-2-0-optical-precision-gaming-mouse-black-111620 it's a lot more similar to the Diamondback to the sensor although.

Also technical specs here:

They shouldnt be allowed to label those mice as "gaming" mice with those sensors

The Copperhead was indeed insanely good. I still have mine but I can't use it since the feet are worn so it doesn't glide like the old times.
Anyway I've been on the search for a proper replacement since then (when I bought the copperhead there were not many options and I loved it instantly, nowdays it's been a pain...).

The best I've found is the Corsair M60. It doesn't look alike but it feels right to me (not like the G500 or the ttesports black element which feel awkward after the copperhead).
