HI everybody I am trying to overclock my 450 but not matter how small I just cant seem to get it stable. It will always boot to Windows but will crash during any stress tests. All my specs are in my signature.
My processor has an aftermarket HSF and i added heatsinks to my VRM. How far do you think the voltage would be safe to go on this 4+1 Mobo?
I have a feeling it may just be a problem with this bargain bin motherboard I have as it has other problems once in awhile. For example every couple of months Ill go to turn it on, the fans will start to go for about half a second and then it will short out. I can unplug it and then reconnect it but still no power. I have to open her up and re secure all the connections to the motherboard. This never happens while its running though.
Any help with this would be great. I am trying to achieve at least 3.6 but would like to go higher. However I have been having problems getting anything above the stock 3.2 to stay stable.
