If you're not OCing, you definitely want the intel build with an i3-2100, even without $50 off a mobo. SC2 is heavily dependent on CPU and an i3-2100 is much much better than a 960T, especially if you aren't overclocking it.

you just said in a cpu intesive game that two cores is better than 4-6? where are you getting the info that the i3 would be better? i wouldnt rely on i3's for anything. if they had one purpose, that would be low power HTPCs.

xd_1771 brought up quite a nice card. the 7750 has near the same price of the 6770.

The Intel chips get way better performance in Starcraft 2. SC2 only uses two threads and with the owner not OCing at all the I3 will have equivalent performance to any intel chip since it uses the same Sandy Bridge cores.

Trust me Starcraft will run way way better on a non-OC'd I3 build then a non-OC'd phenom build.

Go check this link, pay attention to the World of Warcraft bench, another CPU hungry game.

People need to realize that CPU dependent does not neccesarily mean multi-threaded. 2 sandy bridge cores will stop on 20 Phenom cores in Starcraft 2.

IF you were overclocking the Phenom I would say would be the better buy but with both chips at stock the I3 is easily better especially in games and especially in Starcraft 2.
