Plan on buying from microcenter and\or newegg but preferably microcenter
160gb hdd for $59.99 (don't really care for hard drive space but im limited on money)
ASRock 970 Extreme3 Socket AM3+ 970 89.99$
960t 109.99$
Microcenter is having there 50$ off mobo combo so i figure i would go amd.
Newegg
LG burner 16.99$
Radeon 6770 99.99$
Corsair 500w for 60$ but 10$ off instantly so its 50$
pareema 4gb (2x2gb) 19.99$
I would like some recommendations, keep in mind that this will be used for light gaming such as starcraft II(primary game).
Am i missing any items besides a case since im not worried about that.

I just bought an 8120 with a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 board for $260 from Microcenter. I'd suggest going that route. There is no beating that price...

The 8120 is way out of budget.

Nope this does not include the os. Hmm since a couple people above mentioned that sc2 is cpu dependent would the 3850 suffice? Im pretty sure it already has a good integrated gpu so i can just add a low end videocard if needed.

i would stilll tell you to go with the FX 8120+ motherboard combo from microcenter but its your wish

try something like
AMD A6-3670K Unlocked Llano 2.7GHz + GIGABYTE GA-A75-UD4H FM1 197$ 10$ in-mail rebate
HIS Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 90$ after rebate 80$
SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 48$i know guys Llano CPU likes Bandwidth so OP just increase the RAM multiplier to max and run those Monsters tongue.gif
Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 500GB SATA2 Hard Drive 7200RPM 16MB Cache 3.5IN OEM 60$
OCZ ZS Series 550W 80PLUS Bronze Performance Power Supply 135mm Fan 60$ after rebate 35$
Total 445$ before rebate 362$ after rebate go with a Corsair A70 for 30$ when you get the rebate cash thumb.gif and overclock it like a beast biggrin.gif
Hope that helped redface.gif

lol?

That was comparing a stock 2500K to a 4.2GHz 960T, clock for clock the 2500K is roughly equal to the FX 8150 in highly threaded environments. It will practically always be better than a 960T.
