Miss the part where I said some people are more sensitive to the glare than others? I've never experienced it? Both of my displays are glossy, I assure you I'm well aware of what reflections look like. There's no need to be a sensationalist about something that is largely subjective, it doesn't make you any cooler.

That unfortunately looks like you did something wrong frown.gif How long did you soak for? Did you let it dry at all before turning it on? Did the AG film come up as easily as mine in the video?

Nice guide, does this work on non dell monitors?

I'd like to do this, although it's a far too terrifying prospect for me to even consider tongue.gif

Not about someone being more sensitive. It is about the reflection being there all together. whether you are sensitive or not to it, it's there.

My 46" Samsung LED has noticeable reflection/glare even in a low lit room and it can be annoying at times. My 2 Dell 2312s have no reflection at all even when the sun shines through the windows and this is crucial, because I design and develop websites and need the colors to be accurate and images/photos to look good.

The whole point of the anti glare is so user can see what they are doing in bright-lit settings. Right now your monitor is useless for graphic and photo editing in bright lit settings. In Fact, you may have been better off going with a pretty TN glossy monitor rather than a color accurate IPS monitor...

IPS monitors are mostly use for color accurate/crucial work in a well lit area and that is why they have the anti glare coat.

Last, I love the anti glare coat, because I work in the day and hunt noobs at night...

Sub-jec-tive.

Reflections don't change color accuracy. Just because something is reflecting off the surface doesn't mean the color of the image being displayed has changed. Annoying because you have to change your viewing angle if the reflection is strong enough, sure. But that doesn't mean the actual display of the content is changing, something that the AG coating DOES cause because there's no way simple way to avoid it's effect aside from removing the coating. If you look at the white area of an image on an AG coated monitor you'll notice a dirty sparkling effect. Again, some people don't care but others are extremely bothered by it, just as you are bothered by reflections whereas I am not.

I don't work in bright lit settings.

Then why crap up the thread? Obviously this mod is not for you.
