Based on his sig I dont think he is relegated to "minimal graphics", I would know as I can still play most games on relatively high settings. Honestly I can still max most
games with my 4870, it is only the bleeding edge DX11 games that cause issues.
*Note* I am still going for a huge upgrade in april
back on topic:
I would take this delay as a sign that Nvidia has indeed stuck to the massive die strategy. Doesn't this cause further problems later in the 28nm cycle, as nvidia will have no reasonable way to increase performance without having ridiculous temps/power consumption.
So kepler will eat southern islands because it is huge die, but will cost more. What is nvidia going to do when 8XXX series destroys kep because AMD actually increases die size??? Its not like they can go much bigger... or can they?
Just my thoughts on this strategy, seems foolish in the long term but maybe kepler will be soooo good that amd cannot compete at all.
