I dunno really. I guess it depends on the OCing ability of the 3820, and if you can take advantage of it? It's a bit cheaper than a 2600k right, but the boards for x79 are way more expensive, so I should think the 1155 platform is still cheaper in the end. And I'm unsure of the advantages of the x79 over the 1155 platform, doesn't really seem to justify the cost, especially when we know how awesome the 2600k chip can OC...I think I'll keep my money and keep waiting...
