Overclocking stability?

Thread Starter
For the short time my phase unit worked, I raised the FSB to get to 3.5ghz on a X6800, set ram to PC8500 speed and put ample voltage. It booted in windows at -30 C CPU temp but it was extremely unstable. Why is this? The only thing I didn't do was set the ram timings, I left them at auto which made them really bad. Was the ram causing instability?

ample voltage? Phase doesn't need "ample" voltage for 3.5 on a 6800...lol

Set your Ram timing first to 4-4-4-12. I know your Ram supports lower timing but set it to that timing first.Lock Pci express to 100 and PCI clock to 33.33 and set your Dram frequncy to the lowest
