And now all of a sudden it never came from Android? While the code may not have been Android based, the entire premise of a drop-down status bar was first done on Android. Previous status bars did not pull down and display in the same way that Android achieved it.

Exactly, the code for the android unlock isn't based off apple either. It's an idea stolen not code but stealing all the same.

Discuss..

can we just discuss the overuse of the 4chan-esque "Discuss" too many people decide to post? of course people are going to discuss something on a message board.

Android is so different and if anything its the people that use these devices that innovate. Apple is only doing these because they know sooner or latter they will have nothing to compete. USA is good at starting things and then Asia and Europe makes them better. Cars are a example. ICS blows ISO5 out of the water. Apple got nothing now.

ATI is more different than Nvidia, but what about AMD, like the Turbo feature?
Intel didn't even care, instead, it's introducing new things.
Apple should learn this too. It has already sold enough, now it's time for new tech.

The lawsuit game is getting out of hand if you ask me.

Whats wrong with good old fashioned competition. "He did it first, that means I need to make something different, but better!"

You're trying to use this: t-mobile-g1-review-status-bar.jpg as prior work? lachen.gif Sorry but mobilenotifier looked nothing like Android notifications.
As for the kid wondering why his posts got ignored, it's because I can't see them unless someone is foolish enough to quote the gibberish spewing from said mouth.

It's wonderful to see that you have your own logic that makes you right every time! After all that's the best way to come out on top in a discussion, make your own rules.

We're talking about the concept of the pulldown notification bar.

That's what I've been learning in my intro to business class, but obviously that can't happen anymore thanks to apple..
