Dang, you have to have it posted to a host. I will have to figure that out.

I did make two mods to my SOLO, I cut out the fan grilles, that was quick and easy, no muss, no fuss, and I installed a stiff cardboard baffle between the main bay and the upper area where the PSU is to separate the air flows so the PSU would always be getting nice clean air.

As soon as I can post those photos to a host, I will get them up in here.

Edit: That's what I tried. I will give it some more effort. There, that worked. I really should be better at this.

Here's some photos of the SOLO:
The outside, its really quite stylish:

Here's the inside:

Here's a different angle on the inside showing the baffle I installed. My PSU has never varied from 40C, never. The air coming out is just barely warm to the skin.

Here's a shot of the front fans after I cut the grilles out:

That did make a difference in cooling, maybe 1C or so. No change in noise. But its so quiet anyway. If quiet is your thing, I strongly recommend the Nexus fans. They are simply inaudible. They don't move as much air, but they are very quiet.

I had the P180, and I would advice agenst it. It is VERY plasticy, which I found to be quite anoying. It made it feel cheep, IMO. The front door is so flimsy, I could get at the power button while it was locked! Also, it seems like a big case, but because of the compartments, it is exremly cramped and imposible to work in. In short, STAY AWAY FROM THE P180!

As for the Solo/P150, that gets my vote. I read several reviews of it on silentpcreview.com, and they gave it high marks. It has a rubber hard drive suspension system, which all but eliminates hard drive noise, and its side pannels come pre-damped.

If you want more, PM me and I can email them to you. Or, since I seem to have figured out posting here, I can just post more of them here. If there's something specific you want to see, tell me and I can shoot that.

I am really impressed with the case. Very high quality. Only cons I note are the lack of a speaker (ho hum), it would have been nice for the motherboard tray to be removeable and they should have reversed the front fan door so it opened the same way as the front bezel. A better movement on those doors would have been nice too. As far as I am concerned, with the exception of the motherboard tray, those are pretty minor issues. I can add a speaker myself and I can fix the hinges on the doors, though it would probably be more work than its worth to change the direction of swing on the inner door.

You may or may not see that I used the grommet and tray option for the HDDs rather than the suspension system. I can't imagine the suspension system would be any quieter though I guess some folks might, and it does limit you to three rather than four HDDs down there. You could always make that up with one of the 5.25 bays up above.

I also guess some folks would prefer the opening doors for the optical drives. I personally don't much care for them as they need adjustment and I prefer slot loaders anyway. If you get black bezels on your opticals, they will just blend into the background. I had the white Samsung and sometimes I am cheap. Besides, I have it stuck away down in a cabinet so nobody ever sees it. Dang shame I guess because it is quite nice to look at.

I really was taken by how quiet it is. Especially with the Zalman cooler and the Nexus fans. There is just a very soft whrrr of the fans (just enough you can tell its on if there's nothing else going on in the room), a slightly louder whrrrrr when the opticals spin up and the occasional soft clunk clunk of the Raptors seeking. The last is barely audible, the only reason you hear them at all is everything else is so quiet.

I also liked I didn't cut myself repeatedly on the case while assembling the rig. Those cuts always seem to take so long to heal. This is important because there isn't a lot of elbow room in there. Its tight but workable. I still have to do some better cable management, just been too busy. Its got a good system on the right side for keeping cables neat.

I would suggest you install everything you can on your motherboard before you install it in the case, especially cables. Also, you absolutely have to install the PSU before you put the motherboard in.

Edit: Oh yeah, that Zalman is the only cooler I would ever buy from now on. Its simply amazing. If you are going to be on air, you best be on that Zalman. Its really quiet and is very efficient but they say the fan could be improved upon. I guess my old ears just aren't that good anymore. Too many Cream and Dead concerts in my youth. I do have a spare Zalman if anyone is interested, also a pair of brand new unused BFG 7900GTs.

If you have any questions, ask away.

The SOLO does come with an Antec TriCool 120mm at the exhaust port. Its a manual three speed (plus off) fan on a two-wire lead. Its a good fan, nothing wrong with it. Relatively strong and reasonably quiet. 39 CFM @ 25 dba to 79 CFM @ 30 dba. Not bad at all. The Nexus does 37 CFM @ 23 dba. That 2 dba difference is about 1.5 times louder. For me its noticeable. Also, being 2 wire its not well controllable via PWM being there's no tach circuit. Since I use SpeedFan, that was enough to sway the decision.
