Follow the Automatix install for Xubuntu/Ubuntu. This will give you some everyday programs without you having to look for them. All you do when it starts is check the boxes for the things you want.

There is also easy ubuntu which will get you some more programs, I recommend NOT using the GPU drivers as they always screw up my xserver (your GUI). And I think Easy Ubuntu will work in Xubuntu just the same?

Well Alright, thanks guys.

I think that I'll start off by repartitioning my internal HDD with win200 and install that on a 3-5GB partition, and leave the rest for Ubuntu.

Will this work and allow me to boot into either OS with ease?

Yes install winblows first then Xubuntu, once done it will auto install grub and you will have a new menu to choose a OS. Pretty easy. And yea Xubuntu will not take up much space at all.

Should i leave the Partition for Ubuntu in RAW form when I install 2000 and only format like 3-5 gigs in NTFS for windows?

Yes leave it in raw form, as Xubuntu will reconize it during install. If you format it it usually just see's the whole drive then. Just take it slow and read all it has to say as you go.

Alright, thanks man, I think I'll go work on it now

I'll come back with any questions as I go...

I gotta figure out how to get Ubuntu/Xubuntu to allow me to run a WEP encrypted wireless connection though :-\\
