AMD to introduce new 95W FX CPUs

Looks like the next round of FX CPUs, which will be 95W versions, should start shipping next month if the leaked info. and slides are correct. thumb.gif

more importantly these are new steppings, we saw the improvements from C2 to C3 with the Phenom II. Hopefully this will be the case as well with Bulldozer.

As the Fab process is sorted, yields improve which is why these 95W CPU models are now possible.

I do not know if AMD is calling these a different stepping? The cache sizes seem to be changing which may be able to offer a performance bump??? I would not however expect big gains in performance, but these guys might OC as good or better than the first FX CPUs? Only time will tell. That is the fun of OC'ing. thumb.gif
