i know more cores doesnt always mean better performance, but i am a little sad that intel wont have a budget 6 core cpu, i think i am going to go intel just because i want to learn how to overclock and intel is great for that. Also i know that FX cpus where a fail im talking phenoms the phenoms 1100t comes close to many things to the i5 2500k

ya but like people said in that thread according to those charts the i5 makes no sense yettttttt if i go amd and get the 1100t then i pretty much wont have ANY upgrade options because people say and i think amd said that the piledrivers with be about 10% faster then FX well guess what FXs cpu are about 10% SLOWER than phenoms so they will just meat phenoms maybe add more chores thats pretty much all, but if i go intel ill get a i5 2500k then later i can get a 2600k and later a ivy bridge ya they will be all 4 cores but a 30 second difference in speed wont make a much of a difference in encoding to me, and will intel it looks like ilk have more upgrade options! Ill be paying about $30 difference between intel and amd but its more worth my money

Why get a 2500k then a 2600k and not just get a 2600k off the start?
