question about fittings

Thread Starter
hey i was just wondering, do you have to use the made-for-watercooling fittings or will industrial tube fittings also work?
Any fittings with the right barbs(and hose size) will work, but I recomend you NOT to mix components made with different materials(such as brass, alu, steel etc.). The fittings made especialy for PC watercooling are usualy made from safe materials and should be ok(depending on the manufacturer ofc.).

If you can find industrial ones the right size and thread, sure they'd work but using the pc one's just make it way simpler and they look nice usually thumbsupsmiley.png

Here's an example of an average barb; http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_365&products_id=21945
