Why DVI and DP monitors is, because AMD has no support with DisplayPort-to-DVI-Dual-Link Active Adapter @120Hz but only @60Hz.

So it's important that the monitors to have both DVI and DP inputs.

Can't say I've tried it but I've heard of people having success with 120hz using the Apple miniDP to dual-link DVI adapter?

It's the physical difference. If it's a matter of generating 120Hz refresh rate by having it buil-in in the adapter, don't know what those AMD engineers are doing lmaosmiley.gif

So far, having hear it for very very long time ago only from one user claimed that Apple adapter works with AMD card @120Hz.

Nvidia supports DP-to DVI-Dual Link Active Adapter @120Hz. Compare the specifications with AMD will explain why (330MHz DisplayPort).
