Just a difference of opinion.

There's many reasons to get hardware it's not always 'the fastest is best'.

There's many reasons to get hardware it's not always 'the fastest is best'.

Let's say you own a HD6870. Would you rather sell it for a piece of bread and then buy a brand new GTX580, or would you simply buy another 6870?

That was the whole point. We don't sweat money.

By built it for less then an I7 you of course mean the extreme edition I7 that costs 1000 dollars. I don't see the point in making that comparison at all.

it never goes over 48 C , and it rest at 18 C, drops down to 1.4 ghz at .91 volts (so that says quite a bit about power usage) , it will ramp up to 3.4ghz when it needs to, then to 4.0ghz again, when it needs to, then right back down when it doesn't. now i don't know what everybody is saying about this being a power hog, yeah, it uses what most do while playing battlefield3 (playing battlefield3 it never goes above 30 C, and that's on large maps, multiplayer, online) , but it's like a sleeping giant, barely breathing, till you wake it :-) , i am glad i did this build, i'm glad i went with amd, and i don't see one single drawback as of yet, it's soild, stable, and can take anything that i have thrown at it, it runs cooler than any other computer that i have seen.
