Need help OC'ing a 1090t

Thread Starter
Hey guys I need help trying to overclock a system

Its a six core 1090t
8gb 4X2gb DDR3 1600 gskill dimms
Radeon 6870 *stock*
Asus crosshair IV formula
Cooler Master V6 cooler

I am trying to overclock to a steady 4.0 ghz since its possible, but I keep on having the ram fail on my and BSOD

Do i need to up the voltage, or just match frequency?

I am really a noob and need help with this.

Also is there a way to keep all six cores overclocked? I have some stupid turbo evo thing that only unlocks 3 or 4 cores depending on load.

Return RAM Clocks or Timings back to stock

2. Increase CPU Multiplier until BSOD

3. Raise CPU Voltage until stable - Dont go crackers with the voltage and go in small steps

Keep repeating steps 2 and 3 until stable

Dont go past 1.55V and keep checking Temps!

Cheers mate, also since I am moving to the UK, will I need to change any settings on my pc apart from switching the psu from 120 to 220 volts?

a) get rid of turbo evo
b) reduce amount of RAM slots populated..or jack up your cpu/nb voltage also..raise
your NB voltage to 1.2-1.3
read the gappo guide previously posted..do what it tells you in order
