re-read the post. I give a pretty clear description of each, Along with way's to test them to see the actual affect's they have. the bogus part about the G500 is you cannot turn off the "prediction" (or Enhanced Pointer Precision)" or the acceleration. Its a flaw in the sensor, not the software. The mouse wouldn't be half bad if you could turn it all the way off.

You would probably have to do the "mouse paint test" with the G500 and a mouse with non of these, like the g400 or Death Adder. You also just might like them, or be so used to them that having more of a direct input feel's wrong. But the fact that you cannot turn the off is a flaw. They even have check box's/slider's in setpoint..

I have a Razer DeathAdder and love it! Just like you OP, I tend to pick my mouse up while using any computer. The mouse is extremely responsive, and accurate!

Maybe you should have gone for the G400 since it is actually a lot more similar to the MX518 in terms of weight, sensor type, sensor placement on the bottom on the mouse, in terms of scroll wheel, side buttons etc.
