For the love of god, help me get my ram stable.

recently I upgraded my sigrig ram to 4x2gb of dominator. thats where the problems started would be stable with mild tweaking even at stock volts and speeds. so i take 2 sticks out now same thing happens.. i cant get stable without manual volt tweaking..

where should i start? i guess id need to know the maxes for my mobo? anyone?

yes stock speeds wont do auto, or mild tweaking.

So youre using 32gb of memory in there? Is that a typo? Chances are thats causing it if you are, and you will need to up voltages on the IMC just to get it stable. And youre saying that at stock speeds, youre not stable?

First reset BIOS.
Second, no matter if it's stock running more DIMMs will cause more stress on the IMC. So increase QPI voltage.
As to your note to the removal of 2 DIMMs, the time when you put 4 DIMMs may have messed up your BIOS and you need to reset hence step 1.

Bios resets seem to do nothing for stablility, with 2 or 4 sticks of this dominator..

yikes, well here I was looking for an excuse to upgrade to sandy, my computer restarting every 30min is pretty good incentive lol..

anyone with P45 know what max voltage is for NB? how bout my rams? they say 2.1-2.2 i think..

uhhhg getting old.. mad.gif
