So I finally got done rooting and installing Ice Cream Sandwich on my Kindle Fire. The process was kinda a PITA because there's alot of bad guides out there. However, I found a few good ones that made the whole process a hell of a lot easier. I also added tips and notes from things that tripped me up along the way.
Rooting: w/ firmware version 6.2.2 using BurritoRoot3
Files to DL before starting the guide:
Kindle Fire Utility (get the current release)

KindleADB.zip

TIP: After rooting the kindle, run the Kindle Fire Utility and make sure to install TWRP (option 5) this way if something goes horrible wrong or you do something stupid you have a way to recover your stuff.
Installing Android Market

(I prefer this tutorial because it doesn't rely on the amazon marketplace so it will work for those of you outside of the US.)
Installing Android OS
CyanogenMod 7

Ice Cream Sandwich
NOTE: This is still a beta, HD videos will not play on this yet.
NOTE 2: Do not unzip the hash file! Just put it into your kindle as a .zip, in the video he has 2 files but now everything has been put into the one .zip file
