Is $440 too much for 2 used 480's? - Page 3

$220 a piece would make sense with shipping and if the warranty was transferable. You're actually doing the guy a favor by picking both of them up in one shot, so he should cut you some slack on the price since he won't have to ship them.

$400 would be a decent deal considering you'd have them right away. He's not getting robbed and you won't be overpaying.

You can get 6970's used for around $225 which have 2gb of VRAM and scale higher in x-fire, while consuming less power and generating less heat. So ya $440 is high.

OP, they're still monsters for what they sell for and, if you've got a problem with the heat, God gave you windows for a reason. wink.gif

Edit: But you should still try to get them for $400.
$440 is slightly higher than you'd want to pay.

Not sure if you want to shell out an extra $76, but Egg has them for $258/each with shipping. Also have a 3 year warranty on each through EVGA instead of having to go through a guy for your warranty.

I can't really buy through newegg, they charge too much for shipping :/ I may just get one 480 and get another one down the road. If this bad boy would sell nicely, I would get two 480's and pay for the i5 and board out of pocket. Buuuuut...My budget is hinting that I'll only be able to get one :/
